Big shout out to the OKC Cabellas
The side scan transducer on my Lowrance 7" Gen 2 touch failed on the left side.
Did the routine of unplugging, resets, etc, and nothing worked.
While on the water, called Lowrance tech support and got a guy that English wasn't his first language.
Went through another series of tests, read from a script. He told me the transducer had failed on one side.
Since it's less than 6 months old, asked for warranty repair/replacement.
He asked if I had a receipt, and if so, they would cover the warranty.
He asked for the S/n of my locator. When I gave it to him he said my transducer came separate. I told him it was a package deal from Cabelas.
That's when the argument started.
It went nowhere, so I called sporting goods in the Okc store and got some real help.
They identified my transducer as part of a package deal made for Cabelas by the UPC code on the receipt. They contacted Lowrance, and I have a new transducer on the way. Have to ship my old one back within 2 weeks.
If your in the OKC Cabelas and see a big guy named Mason Banta, he is very knowledgeable about all things hunting and fishing.
I got three texts and two personal phone calls from him to get this resolved. [emoji106]
