Lake Wylie Nightstalk 6-8-16

Uncle Remus and Everett pulled the old Bigdawgg out from under the porch and took him fishing. Got on the water around 8:30 and had some fun catching some small crappie as well as some good one's. The night was nice not to much traffic and only a few bugs around the lights. I didn't get the water temp. But did know we were in 36 foot of water. The bite was slow on one side of the pontoon and slower on the other side. Had lots of bait around the green hydro glow light that I never use and under the white lights it was not as much. I think the table turned on Everett this time because he fished like I did the last time out and I got a few more this time. We all caught crappie along with of course white perch and a few big cats. Total bring home was 23 crappies, no perch and no cats were kept. Threw a lot of small fish back. Left around 12:15 as for Remus was heading out to Lake Hartwell to striper fish with another group of fellows. Hope he did well as well as being safe. Here's the biggest five.

I'm glad Remus got to go out. I have been 2nd guessing myself ever since the weather turned out OK Monday night. What i should have done is drive up and meet Remus for dinner and then make the decision at the ramp.
Oh, well, live and learn, die and forget it all.

Good looking 5 crappie. Some nights are slow and some nights are real slow :)

Sounds like not too bad a nite bringing home 23 crappies. Those 5 look like some good 'uns. Congrats.:) BTW, how big was the cats ya'll caught? Ate a mess of cat fillets for supper tonite. Not bad at all.:)

Way to go! Glad y'all made it out and had a good time.

Ray you need to go ahead and set up another night stalk I am ready to go on one. Neil has the seat in my boat locked up but if he cannot go then I will look for somebody else.
