I should have taken a pic, but does anyone know what all the sacks of something are on the trees and stumps? Looks like some kind of eggs to me. Whole bunch of them, whatever it is. Some are getting dry now from the draw down.

Most likely frog eggs.

I see this post about every year. Since it's been a year I don't remember much of the explanation. Here it goes. Those are a colony of organisms. They naturally occur in our lakes. They are round because of fish feeding on them.
Somebody throw me a line here please. The state site had the explanation last year in the weekly report during summer months.
Yes sir, they are down right strange or of alien like peculiaritie.. I chalk it up to water logged conifers.. sacks are just resin encased water balloons in my opinion. Course I'm just speculatinn'... I know little on the subject..
