What is buck brush anyway?

I heard a lot of guys are catching crappie right now in the buck brush,,,,what the blue blazes is considered buck brush?

You cant push minnows or pull cranks threw it. I thought all crappie fisherman knew what buck brush was

It's called Common Buttonbush, and it's in the coffee family of shrubs/trees.

I've heard it called Button Willow, Button Ball Bush, Buck Bush, & Buck Brush. Excellent spawning habitat for Crappie, when there's a couple of feet of water under them. I've only experienced them at KY/Barkley lakes.

So it's basically the brush just offshore usually seen when water is low, but sunken when water levels are higher?

Looks like a crepe myrtle with out any leaves.

It's all that stuff growing across from Hernando point against the bank. Crappie heaven.
