Better than catching fish

Took my 2 boys and wife out to Old River this morning. Got a late start and knew we had some rain coming so I didn't even bother buying bait. Took them riding for a while and let them "fish" for about 30 minutes (no hooks on their rods yet). They couldn't have been happier. I did see more trucks at the landing than I expected with the forecast and the river rising a little which makes them stop biting most of the time.

Yep. Trying to get them started young. My 4 year old is patient and ready to make some trips but my 2 year old can't sit still for more than 10 minutes. They had a blast. Finished off eating some great food at Old River Landing.
