kill all the asian carp, reduce the number of herring, increase the number of smaller shad species like threadfin and some minnow species....start encouraging the growth of aquatic plant life. The rest will take care of itself. Outside of that gonna be tough to make a lot of progress. Now thats just my opinion and I understand if you disagree with it. I also understand how difficult that will all be. The best place to start is to adjust the budget to direct more funds to fisheries with the express intent of improving the fishing. Everybody knows the economic impact of having good fishing. But most agencies are below 20 percent of the budget. Stop working so hard to hatchery raise fish for special fishing conditions and work to improve the wild fish stocks naturally and combat invasive species.

Agree with everything but the hatchery raised fish. It is a fact that the wild Sauger are not doing well. Who knows why. But the stocking of the River Walleye(hatchery raised) are paying great dividends.

And the answer is: Ky Lake is part of a flood control system.

Well the Army Corp of Engineers is a subject and path I can't go down on a friendly forum. Too political.
-
Army Corp of Engineers doesn't have anything to do with Kentucky Lake unless Ohio River hits a certain flood stage, Tva controls Kentucky Lake. Corp of Engineers does control Barkley though.
-
Corps of Engineers flooded Nashville. The brains with no brain.
