Bull Shoals this weekend
Taking my son down from KC this weekend. I used to make this trip with my grandparents about 30 years ago - looking forward to revisiting the Lead Hill area and fishing the lake again with him! Any tips/tricks/thoughts on the lake for this time of year? Planning to troll with jigs as we'll be in a rental boat without electronics :) Thanks in advance -hope the bite is still on!!

We fished below the dam one time and caught a bunch of rainbow shad. Don't know anything at all about above the dam. Good luck and hope ya'll find some big ones.

I am like RCC. I don't know a thing about above the dam. But, below is some world class trout fishing. Them thangs don't cook so well though. I don't know why it such a big deal to throw them on the bank to people there. DP

Check out Ozark Anglers .com lots of info. Also back of west Sugarloaf creek east side Agfc release pond is a good stop.Lots of brush piles.

There were a lot of bigger sized crappie coming from the Lead Hill Area, this spring. We haven't heard much lately. The thermocline is starting to setup around 30 feet so that would be a good depth to look for crappie. The Lead Hill area is loaded with brush so it isn't hard to find something to fish up there.
