How do you guys fish them with a spinning rig?
You could fish with a casting bubble or put a split shot ahead of it and fish as a sinking fly.
Most fun way is to fish it as it was designed: on top with a fly rod.
Fly rod only for me . :popcorn
Fly rod for me too.
Fly rod for me also.
Thanks guy someone gave me several I don't own a fly rod
You can fish them on a jig head like a grub too.
White foam spider has been my go to for my flyrod for 50 yrs. Catches bullfrogs to if you dangle it in front of them at night. LOL Oh oop's i'm off subject they work good behind a casting bubble on a spinning rod.
Agree with using them with a small casting bubble but I too only use them with a fly rod.
I use a natural round cork float about the size of a sweet gum ball. I am convinced the fish think it is something fell out of a tree with a bug on it. You can let the bug float or use a small splitshot. A really tiny splitshot that makes it sink really slow can be deadly. You may take something to tip it with also for a little extra zing. If not a live meal worm or something try one of the gulp baits or a crappie nibble. Take an assortment of flys and spiders and what not. Sometimes one does a lot better than another. Once you find the right combination it won't last five seconds when it hits the water where they are at.
