Welcome from Mississippi
Thanks for the warm welcome "G", I truly appreciate it!
The reason I am here is due to a good customer of mine (and fellow-member of crappie.com) who's name is known around Central Florida fishing holes as "Jack, the Crappie Slayer". Jack first started coming into my Bait & Tackle store (located right ON the St. Johns River) shortly after we opened our doors 1.5 years ago. Jack recently suggested I sign up here both for knowledge about crappie fishing and to see if there would be interest in having a summertime crappie tournament series here on the St. John's River, but with a big twist. I'm not at liberty to say what that "twist" is yet, but serious crappie fishermen throughout Central Florida who know Jack have already expressed huge interest to him in being a part of such monthly events. So my questions to all the membership here, but specifically those within a couple hours of Deland Florida is this: Would you gentlemen and ladies be interested in such monthly events here in Central Florida, especially if 80 to 100 percent of all entry-fees were paid out for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and even 4th-place finishers?
I welcome ALL suggestions, as Jack and I want to get this kicked off for the middle of each month from June thru October before the snow-birds start coming back down to Florida.

Thank you for the warm welcome here and allow me to wish you, your family and comrades in arms a belated Memorial Day. Thank you for the sacrifices you have not only made, but those you, your comrades, families, children and even grandchildren continue to make. As the saying goes: "Freedom is not free." All I can offer is my thanks to guys like you who gave guys like me a choice. That is a debt I can never repay. G-d Bless and if you ever make it to Deland, please pay us a visit.
