Lake Wylie last night 5-24-16
Got out on the water with Everett my brother in law around 8 pm and set up in Big Allison in 36 foot of water. Almost immediately Everett started the action with a nice crappie, then another and then another. He had five fish before I caught my first one and I had the first hooks in the water.:Doh: Minnows were the best, how ever we both used jigs and landed quite a few and missed a lot.:banghead Fish were about 7 or 8 cranks off the bottom a first then they moved up after it was good and dark. All was good until around 10:30 and it slowed down, then at 11 pm it just about quit. We had several good 11 to 12 inch crappies and the rest were 9 to 10. Threw back a lot of small crappies less than hand size. There were plenty of perch too. All together we had 35 crappies and 40 or so perch all keepers. It was fun and it was good for the two of us to get out and go. No boat traffic at all. So nice on the water.:highfive
