Sponsored,,,,Huh, Who'd Have Thought?

Before leaving town to head north to my grandsons school concert, I decided to stop in to one of the local bait shops, Lymans On The Lake, in Houghton Lake, and see if they had some of the baits I use, and will need for fishing this weekend while I film my next episode for my Youtube channel. Well they had what I needed, which they usually do, and I just thought to myself, it doesn't hurt to ask. So I just came right out and asked the owner if he would be interested in a little episode sponsorship. Right away he seamed somewhat interested. Huh go figure. In less than 10 minutes I had baits in my hand, and my first channel sponsor, in exchange for a commercial/mention on the video. I will be filming the commercial tomorrow morning. It's not much, but really, I'm just an old redneck Polock who has always loved to fish,photograph, and video tape, so I never considered that my love of all things outdoors would some day turn into a passion that pays. Could a guy get any luckier?:biggrin

That is amazing and very kind of them. Lyman's has always been my go to place for bait, lures and information whenever I visited my grandparents cottage there.

Thanks. You know, it's not much, just some bait, but so cool. Looking forward to the morning and seeing what I can come up with for them. This will be a first for me, a commercial, so I hope I do them right for their generosity. I have been going to Lymans for I don't know how long, and they're always friendly and usually have what I need or can get it. Start a new job tomorrow, followed by two days of panfishing, and my wife really doesn't mind. Now that's a day I never thought I would see.

i have always stopped at Lyman's for my bait and tackle, always been treated well.

Thanks Kevin. I sure do have a good time doing it, and now to have people willing to make it easier on me to do something that I am so passionate about is a great feeling.
