goshorn lake question
Looks like I'm going to be in this area in mid July, and will be staying in a cabin at Goshorn Lake near Saugatuk. It's a family (in laws) trip, but plan to bring a Kayak. If anyone could offer some general suggestions at this lake would, they would be pleasantly received, and greatly appreciated. I'm from Northeast Missouri.

The best I can do for you is some general information I dug up. It is a 26 acre private no wake lake separated from Lake Michigan by a dune. Supposed to have bass, bluegill, crappie and walleye. Couldn't find anything on depths of the lake but if you contact the Michigan DNR they may have a lake map available. If the fishing there doesn't work out there's always Lake Michigan. With a little research you could find charters for salmon and lake trout and there used to be a perch party boat out of South Haven but I'm not sure if they're still operating. If they are it's a good time and fairly cheap, I think it was 25.00 per person for half a day the last time I went which was back in the 90's. You could also try the Kalamazoo River which has some pretty good fishing. Maybe a member from the west side can give you more info on other opportunities. Good luck and enjoy your trip to Michigan.

I wish I could offer something on this lake as it is just south of where I live. I have never fished this lake though. I will do this for you, I will do some checking and post what I do find out.
