Mounting Suggestions for Trolling Rods

I have 2 different sets of driftmaster rod tip savers. The center mount and offset mount. The new boat is fiberglass and I am needing some help with mounting suggestions.
Should I mount on top cap thru the fiberglass OR mount thru the deck surface just inside the gunnel?

And what kind of mounting hardware should I use??

First glass boat so I want to do it right!

I had a set of those, but now I am using the Cornfield Crappies Rod Racks that Cajun Fryer makes.
I mounted both sets through the deck, just inside the gunnel.

Brian, I have a set of the ones Dean is talking about at the shop if you want to have them in your hands before you decide. That's what I would be using if I could use the horizontals on my Excel.

I use the cornfield crappie gear rod racks also...great product!! If you sweet talk Mark he may help you mount them on your boat!!! (I just winked at him)!!
