Has anyone done any good for crappie down off the Allen creek boat ramp on Russell I have some hunting land about a mile down the road and was thinking about trying it out. I have never fished Russell before so any tips would help thanks.

Welcome to the boards. I dont fish Russell much but if you decide on giving it a try I'd probably look for brush to fish. That part of the lake will be pretty clear. Heck! MOST of Russell is clear now.:(
If you don't find any in Allen go across the lake to Cold Water, you should be able to find some biting crappie between the two creeks. Welcome aboard :ThumbsUp
