As title says, is anybody fishing? I know the crappie are starting to bite or have been biting for a week now.
Here's my report for whatever it's worth. Hillsdale has been ok, went yesterday caught nothing but dinks on the spawning banks that I've been catching them good the day before. Go figure. Mostly small males now, but the bigger females should be moving up anyday now. Now go fishing and report back on how you do.
Been chaseing Turkeys and hanging out at trout parks in MO during the week mostly. Fished Hullsdale Sunday evening. Poor. Nothing to report. Did see a guy catch a very nice eye at Hillsdale Saturday evening. 3 feet from from the shore off the edge of steep chunk rock. 3 feet out a foot down on a minnow. Just before sunset, looked to be a 24".
Spider rigging has been putting a lot of fish in my boat over the last few weeks. I can't seem to pattern them. They're just scattered and sporadic. I haven't been catching limit's but I've been catching more than a lot of people I have talked to.
Bite was slow at Hillsdale last Friday. Best luck was a minnow and bobber in 4-6 feet of water. I tried sliders, twister tails, beetle spins and others with little happening.
Well i guess i'll put in my report or lack of....
4-22, Eldorado, first at the sailboat ramp. Should have jigged around the ramp but didn't. Went out around shallow shore in cove and check some brush but nothing. Wind picked up more than expected and loaded up at noon went to the south east of lake near the south 177 overpass. Caught ton of white perch, some drum and a dink crappie from shore. Used the caught bait that evening for a couple cats drifting late into the night.

4-23, went back to sail boat cove in 8AM and put in. Dock squatters were catching a few. Launched and went around and fished the rocky ledge shallow with one bite. Went on to quarry and lots of people there saw a few catches. We kept our distance and had no luck. Wind blew us off the lake finally got back to the ramp and the squatters were still there catching some.
4-24, lake afton, just for a quick hit to see if i could get into them from shore, no luck but reports were pink/white jigs were working. Next to shore.
4=25 went to a small lake in Derby, the last 2 times we have been there the dinks are all over the bank. About 8". Along with decent cats and several small mouth all caught next to bank. Probably pulled over 50 fish out last 2 trips.
Nothing news breaking but there it is none the less
So you are complaining about no one posting reports but in your your complaint you admit to fishing Hillsdale the last couple days? Pot calling the kettle black much?
prolly not many fishin they all have their freezzers full?
Fished Clinton on Monday caught 2 large female, 1 large male, and 1 custom fishing rod. All in 4 to 6 foot of water, with swim tail road runner, pumpkin seed and chartreuse.
I consolidate my reports into one if I plan to fish a couple days in a row. I haven't been out much either. Throwing stones from your glass house I see. nononoQuote:
