I finally got on the water after about 3 weeks yesterday. Conditions were great, low wind, overcast sky early and nice temps. The water temp was 69° and the fish were scattered after the spawn. I had minnows and also tried a Road Runner and a vertical jig. I got on the water at 6am and fished till 8:30am which is about all the pinched nerve in my neck will let me do. The only thing I got a bite on were minnows, the fish were on a flat in 6-9' of water and holding about 4' deep. I had 2 minnow poles with slip floats out and just drifted or move slow up and back in about a 50yd section of the lake picking up scattered bites. I tried some other areas on the lake but had no luck so I just worked that one area. I managed 13 that were 11-14" and a few were still holding some eggs but they were turning white and looked like they were absorbing them.
It was just a relaxing day on the water and I even got to tweak my Helix 7 a little.
