Yeah, I figured when I checked back this is what I'd find. No responses... :(
I never can get any info for Reelfoot. It's like either no one fishes there or its the most secretive lake around.
I was hoping you had some responses. I feel your pain.

Yea folks say they want to help, but when you ask for tips they go quiet. It's kinda like deer hunters: they are all talkative until you ask where you they hunt at, then they go into stealth mode. I had a post about Perryville and only got one message from a guy, and I appreciated his info. When it comes to Reelfoot you are better off hiring a guide for the first time. Unless you fish that lake all the time, the average person will struggle on that lake.
I don't want gps coordinates. Just general ideas or "hey, I caught a bunch recently on such and such type lure."
Anyway, good luck catching some. I love Reelfoot.

I'm not sure I have seen any of the locals fishing for bream yet. I was over there fishing on Monday, but I was fishing for crappie not bream. If you do not know anything about Reelfoot or would like my thoughts on where I think you can go catch some bream, feel free to send me a pm.
Had a relative up there last week that caught a few nice ones using crickets on a jig. No idea where he fishes there.
I use to live there, and I think fishing the trees or edges of the lily pads. Don't go way up in the pads, just on the inside edge, and fish the opening, and be fast with the hook set or they wrap you up in the lily stems.
Hope this helps....:fish
well we just ended up putting out yo yos Saturday, caught few nice catfish. Crappie fished Sunday afternoon and kept 11. seems everybody did really well on crappie Saturday, guess i was a day late. they are catching a few scattered bluegill along the shoreline. about 2 more weeks things should heat up well for bluegill.
We did pretty well today. Bluegill were nailing crickets and crickets tipped with a bee moth. Along shore in lilly pads and later in the evening they were right on the banks. Very much fun!
Caught some cats and crappie too.
