erie walleye report 4/17-4/18

well , I needed to post a fishing report :) and the only fishing I have done lately is in Ohio on Erie.
launched out of mazuriks boat launch near kellys island on sunday, water almost calm.
must have been over a thousand boats on erie today due to the great weather.
we did a lot of searching looking for good marks, but had little luck finding any except between bass island and Kelly island, lots of boats and quite a few fish.
we got three real quick running bandit deep walleye crankbaits 100-120 back and even got one on a crawler harness with a 3oz bottom bouncer, then the bite shut off for us, so we moved over towards west sister island, got 4 more over there, but they were all caught on husky jerks back 50-60 .
4 fish between 29 and 31 inches, other 3 about 3lbs.
Monday got 5 more by 1pm, then left for home to try and beat the traffic through the construction zones.
time to get after some crappie if I can get out of work early enough, we have been working mostly 10 hr days and does not leave much time for fishing and only so much vac time, oh well.....really enjoyed the two days.

Nice that you got to hit the water. Was the missus with ya too? Both you and I have to start getting serious on them crappie, and I got no excuses. BTW you are qualified for the April Slider contest too.
