Revised Taylorsville Crappie report 4/18
My wife and I got out on the lake at 830 and left at 130 PM. We were using a slabalicious swim bait with 1/16 oz jigheads. We found the fish in a place with a
long log going at an angle down into the lake. The immediate shoreline water was clear. We cast a few feet off shore and were picking up the males but
if they didn't cooperate we could try to pick up the females who were in deeper water. So the males make a nest and the females wait for that special invitation from them out in the deeper water.
So if we missed a male we would then try to pick up a female later in deeper water working the same cast. At one point we were bringing them in almost every or every other cast.
I even quit using crappy nibbles and was finding the bite very hot. We had a great time.
