With a couple of free hours, hit the closest spot to home, which is Ft. Loudoun. Accompanied by my better half, she proved the "better" part once again! Water temp was between 59 and 65, depending on where you were and depth. Caught fish from 4' to 10'. She used a generic red and chartreuse tube, and I use many lures, but had the best luck on Muddy Waters blue and chartreuse sparkle. A few of the males were dressed up. Finally, a question, look at the picture of the egg sack. Is this an indication of being about ready, or is it a sign that it ain't gonna happen? Forgive my ignorance, this is my second spring crappie fishing.Attachment 235863Attachment 235864
