ENDS TOMORROW NIGHT. GET IN YOUR FINAL REPORTS. "D"
today I tried the itty bitty swim'r in key lime for the first time and caught about 10 bream in coldish windy conditions off the bank, I had some of their jigheads also but went with my own 1/64 no collar head with a size 8 sickle hook and added a tad of super glue just behind the head. was using a tiny weighted float, and usually I use nibbles with my kiptail jigs but didn't use them today and caught the fish anyway. some colors you just can't see very well in a pic and eclipse is one of those colors, man is that color cool! can't waite to try it too, ordered 4 more bags of the eclipse immediately after inspecting them after they came yesterday. I'm not sure about the itty bitty jigheads yet have yet to use them but I was hoping they would be a little sharper than they were, after all they are lazer sharps.
anyway I am glad garland came out with these tiny baits, because tiny jigs seem to get the job done a lot of times when the fish don't seem to want to cooperate which is a lot if I/m honest about it.
Hey redear glad you like them. My favorite colors are outlaw, key lime pie, eclipse, monkey milk, and crystal... Really they have some great colors and I like fishing them along with my kiptail jigs... It makes a good one two punch
Vacrappieman, thank you so much for the help by listing your favorites! the key lime caught fat bream yesterday even without any nibbles on there, they would hit it a lot of times just after I jiggled the tiny weighted float, anyway I just wanted to thank you for sharing, I had a feeling when I first saw these baits a year ago that they need to be in my tackle box. I ordered some Kodiak paste scent also to try putting on or in the body, oh and the head I used yesterday had been painted orange, I always had a lot of luck with the larger baby shad in key lime using an orange head.
