This weather stinks....
I can't speak for the rest of the state but this weather here in the SE corner sure stinks. A day in the 50's, then four with wind, rain and misery. Of course those days in the 50's have gale warnings. I had a handful of days on the water at the beginning of March and haven't wet a line since. We're going to give it a go mid-week, hoping that the lake is off the no -wake warning its been on for the last couple weeks. Even the big river has been poor this spring for walleye anglers. I'd give anything to see three weeks without a breeze even.

Yep weather here in Illinois (about 40 plus miles west of Chicago) has really been nuts. Last month kinda dry, then rain every other day, then wind 45-50 mph all day, then a clear day then one day warms up at nite hits 71, stays warm all nite & into mornings then falls to 24 by suppertime. next day rain turns to sleet & frozen snow pellets, then all out white-outs of snow, bout 4 or 5 times rest of day----- crazy, I am 77 cannot remember such a screwy weather system in all my years........:dono But the weather folks say this week gonna be nice gradual warming trend & hit 68-70 by weeks end. Gosh I hope so.....

I hit the lake today, early, until about noon. Our boat had 3 crappies and a smallie to show for it. All of the fish went back. The water temps were 5 degrees colder today than they were 5 weeks ago when the fishing was super. We have the same forecast for here Jax. I'll make time next week to see how things have progressed.
