Pretty SORRY!!!!
I don't fuss about the COE often, they have a thankless job and get a lot of criticism.
With that said I witnessed one of the biggest waste of federal funds I have seen in a very long time. Drove around to the new ramp at hwy 7 to unload in the river and go back down stream, Sardis is above summer pool so shouldn't be a big deal, you would think. Boy was I wrong, unless you are in a small aluminum boat you can't even get off the trailer, sand has the ramp covered and the water is up on the turn around section of the ramp.
Talked to a guy that had unloaded and watched him finally get his boat, 15 foot jon boat with a 15 on it, pushed out in the river and told me there was no way I was unloading my boat, after watching him I saw he was right. Millions of dollars was spent on this project just a couple of years ago and it was a totally waste as far as giving fisherman access to the river, you would think "waterway engineers" of our country would have put the ramp where it would work right.:mad:

Right on, the ramp worked pretty well the first year. Ever since they built the new bridge it has been a mess. I always go down to Wyatts now if I want to fish that end. It wouldn't have been an option today with all this dad blame wind. Have they at least cleared the 4 foot of mud from the bottom of the ramp? I haven't been by there in a couple, few months..

Not sure, sand pretty much started where the water was on the ramp and then a small hole and then a sand bar you could see just under the water, backed in the hole but it wasn't deep enuff to even float my boat.

Stay off of my lake......lol
-
After tomorrow you can have the dang thing for another year!!!!

Stupid. Just like Holiday Lodge ramp facing the main lake into the wind all the time and no place to park. they easily could have put it on the east bank of the cove and dredged it out. And the same for spending millions of dollars on concrete parking are Wyatt's and most of which is now under water. Was nothing ever wrong with parking on the dirt lot--as long as the ramps themselves were good. Still say the best spot ever for a ramp is Piney Point on the east bank. Will never happen though.

And glad you posted this because I was thinking of putting in there myself.

Thought it might help some, water looks good up there, would have liked to have fished it.

Yes it's a total waste of money. 1st year was great. After that it filled I with mud. Only time you can use it is when there's a flood and then the river has so much current it's not safe. Allready been a couple rescues due to swift currents.
