Anyone deal with boat US for insurance?

I do and LOVE THEM!!!!! Very easy to get and nice over the phone. Now I have never had to make a claim. And hope I never do. But I feel it would be just as good as any other. One thing I really like about it is they will insure your boat for the purchase price. Even years down the road. They wont (or not supposed say....well now your boat only is worth this amount.....). So if something happens to my boat then I get a new what it cost me and not what its worth "that day".

Good luck with that. ^^ I have had 2 boats totaled over the years, the first I was hit by a drunken driver and the second a tornado took. Both boats were insured thru Progressive. The drunks insurance paid for the first boat, it was only about a year old and I got full replacement value. Her insurance company "State Farm" was probably glad that I wasn't claiming any injuries and were easy to deal with. The second boat I had owned for nine years. The adjuster and I researched values of similar boats, we compared notes, and he gave me what I thought was a very fair estimate of the value. That's the best you can ask of from a company in my opinion. Any company that makes unrealistic claims of paying full replacement value on a product that goes down in value as it ages is suspect to me.

The quote from Boat US was for a agreed current value. Which will pay the current agreed upon value of the boat in full from now until policy is canceled. Which in my case is 6300.00 for boat and 2000.00 for trailer. My boat is a 1999 model. 180.00 year for agreed value or 150.00 for actual value of boat at time of accident. Still going to shop around.

I have an agreed policy from Boat US and you pay a little more for it than ACV but to me it was worth it. Havn't had a claim and hope I don't.

Boat US and GEICO boat insurance must be the same. I had a claim with GEICO and the number I called said press 1 for boat US and 2 for GEICO. GEICO was easy to desk with and fair. Had agreed value on my boat
