I got the the "Lefty Specails" from Grizzly and have been very pleased. 32 bucks each I think, 10 ball bearings, left handed (having to get used to that) and flipping switch. Got 4 at the show and turned around and ordered 5 more. You will have to call them because they aren't on the website.
I use the ole cheap one I got from FFO tackle, 18 bucks. Work great.
I use Shakespeare Sigma's or Shakespeare Axion's from Wally World. Sometimes you can catch them on sale for around $26
I got a Pinnacle LP100C with a bent handle at the auction last night for $2.50. I checked on a friend's phone $29.99 at walmart. Return damaged sticker from Sportsman's Guide $19.
I love using Lefty reels. Got to think about it. You're right handed, your right arm is stronger than the left. You cast with your right and swap to the left to reel it in, if you bass fish. Cranking in some heavy cats from the river my left arm was worn out after a day.
My brother-in-law is a lefty, a right handed reel is ideal for him. He got me started looking for lefties.
Be tough getting used to the lefty routine wouldn't it? I swap all my spinning reels over to right handed (reel) as soon as I get them. It just seems more natural to me. I understand the benefit to your point though cane. If doing a lot of fighting bigger fish like cats and big bass it seems more logical. Hard to break a 30 year habit though..
Thats why they have both kinds.....use the ones that suit you and go fishing
Shakespeare" agility", mid 20 dollar range at academy sports .
I used to tournament bass fish and had several baitcasters and use them on several of my crappie rods, they work well.
