I want to make some jigs to look like the blk. and chart. plastic tube say 1.5 " . I have a lot of luck with these tubes and since I do make my jig heads and I also tie a few hair jigs, I was thinking of making the jig to look like the tube. That would surely last a lot longer then the plastic tube. Now I need some advice on materials to use especially since I have never used chenille.

Not sure what size jig your trying to tie, but probably #2 Size and probably Nylon if it has the colors you want to use and is easier to tie correct. Rayon is fine, but you have to know which end to tie in first. Also just how do you want to copy it or maybe show us a pic of the tube? If it's Black on top and Chart on the fringe then you can tie it using Nylon Chartreuse and Black Chenille. Sow a pic of the tube so I can get a better picture in my mind and then I will tell you want to do. Maybe you can just tie the entire body with Black and then just the tail with Chartreuse either hackle or marabou. This time of year I really like marabou!

Just go with Anthracite chenille, fl yella marabou/rabbit/hackle/kip/ etc etc... A couple strands of flash n catch fish. [emoji1303]
That's one of my favorite tubes. I make a marabou just like it. I use the Cristal Antron from crazy angler. But I'll go even one better get so tube jig heads and paint the black and put marabou on the tail. Attachment 234273
Use black Nylon chenille and FL Chartreuse and it will match perfect!

Not sure if this is the look you're looking for but these are some jigs I've used this spring with good results and they're an easy jig to tie also. These are I believe rayon chenille with silicone skirts, they sell chartreuse silicone with silver flake I just don't happen to have any.
