Barkley 4/1/16 Report*

Decided to scout an area of Barkley that I haven't ever been on this morning. Did a lot of scanning and took a while to find what I was looking for but it was over quick when I did. Big wad of fish in 12fow near deep water, caught 18 of the 20 keepers in a little over an hour. Fish were very aggressive, water temp was 60. Fixing to get right quick, save me a few, spring break and overtime are going to limit my time on the water the next couple weeks.

If you don't mind me asking what did you catch them on?

I two pole vertical jig midsouth glow tubes in various flavors of chartreuse on yellow or pink kens tbc light wire jigheads.

Good post and pic. I am entering it in the BG contest. I added report to the title. That just makes it easier for me later on when I draw for the prize.

Every time I 2 pole I get frustrated finding someplace safe to lay the one pole while taking a fish in on the other. What do you do,,, have a rod holder mounted ?

Nah just lay other pole down and scoop net up in same motion. Catfish took one overboard last year but b and m float and I got it back.

Nice report Austin. Need some Weed b Gone. To nice a place you have there for all those weeds. LOL With all the cold fronts coming through the water is struggling to get up to spawn temps. Come jump in the boat with me a few hours if you need a fix!! I like going to new places and scouting. Looks like your Huckfinning payed off. Them some big fish!!
