Taylorsville 3/29 Report*
My wife and went to our home lake of Taylorsville today. Got there about 9:30 A.M. With the storm we had a day before the water
was pretty dirty and a lot of debris. On our way out ,in the middle of the lake there were some big logs. One that was just visible
from the surface was about 8 feet long and probably about an easy 12 inch diameter. The wind was pretty active but it got worse in the afternoon and when we left at
3:30 it seemed to be calming down a little. We dont use minnows but fish with Crappie tubes. We found a point we usually fish and let the wind push us
through the area we had fished before then we would repeat. Caught three and one was to small. Seemed the big one was 11 inches and the
other 10 1/2 inches. All in all we had a fun day except for the wind. Water level wasnt too bad considering the rain we got. Seems that spring spawn is just around the corner.
I caught these two in about 7 to 8 feet of water about 20 feet offshore. My wife who usually does quite well got stumped.
