Jordan report 3/28.*
I've been trolling this site for a few years now and finally got a boat a few weeks ago. My buddy and I decided to go rain or shine so we headed out first thing and put in at farrington. I have had limited success crappie fishing Jordan but I am bound and determine to figure them out. My boat is a 12' tri hull so the wind was a major bummer for us. My fish finder is either broke or I just don't know how to use it. Never saw anything much on the screen. We worked the banks for most of the day and wound up with 4 channel cats. We were happy with that since it was fish. Any advice would be helpful. I have a lowrance 4x dsi that I use on my kayak some. Thanks in advance. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...f543a7d132.jpg

On that Lowrance unit try reseting it to factory defaults and then just leave it alone. I've found Lowrance units doing a great job for adjusting for the conditions automatically. Also, if you were fishing in shallow water (6 foot or less) your fish finder isn't going to be that useful, out in open water you will start seeing fish.

I'll reset it and try it. We were using it deep water as well. I only use it in shallow to keep from gettin the boat stuck. Thanks for the advise.
