Clark Hill 3-27 afternoon

I ran back up to the hill this afternoon and found the fish still cooperative. Overall the size was a little off but I had no trouble catching a nice limit. I did get a surprise as I was reeling my first fish in this huge striper about 10-15 pounds tried to flush the crappie. Being a bass fisherman I had a super fluke ready. He didn't take it though. About 30 min later he did it again. Still couldn't get him to bite. On another brushpile I landed a 4 lb channel cat on my ultra light. The predators were definitely lurking around the brushpiles today. Attachment 233694Attachment 233695

Great screen shot. Look like you could get your limit off one pile. Striper was on to your tricks.

Yes it's bamboo. I get some strange looks, during the winter, hauling bamboo to my house with my truck. And I know people who wonder why I work so hard at it. I made 18 by myself this year. And they're not small. But it's worth it. In the next two months I plan to take several people. My daughters and wife of course. Dad,mom, uncle, and friends who don't get to fish much. I really enjoy putting people on fish.Attachment 233713

Are you backing off and throwing jigs to the piles or tight lining minnows over them?

Dropping minnows. I do try jigs but with limited success. I caught some with jigs Friday. I use a slip cork so I'm rarely right over the brush.
