Followed my cousin out to the Big Burns today, he said he had been doing good on the crappie and that I could follow him so I jumped on the chance! Ended up keeping 12 crappie, 14 bream, 3 bass & 20 goggle eye. Fished some canals that I had never fished before so I learned some new area but I'm afraid the giant salvania and hyancith is getting bad in there so no telling how much longer it will be accessible. I ran 3.3 gallons of gas and I'm running a 25HP Totahatsu so that should give you some ideal of how far we ran. Fished against the grass lines and my best color was a tri color jig with orange top, blue body and chrt. tail, 2nd best was tri color jig with black top, green body and chrt. tail (just like what Jig Rig uses).
