Chick Lake 3/25/16 Report*

We had a fun day. The fish were exactly where they are supposed to be when the water temp is 62. :biggrin They were very shallow. Caught maybe 18 crappie, several red ear and a few small yellow perch. Most caught in 2 feet of water, none caught in water deeper than 5 feet. Most fish on 1/24th jig head and tiny plastics. Caught about 4 on minnows. A TON of short strikes on the jigs. Normally crappie wail on the jigs, but when they are actually spawning maybe they nip at baits some?
