Has anyone tried to fly fish the white bass coming up the eno/flat river with a fly rod? If so, could you recommend a fly? I'm new to fly fishing, but would like to give it a try this weekend. Just curious. Thank you.

I'd try a small clouser in white or yellow. A woolybugger in the same colors would also probably work. Key thing is going to be having enough room to back cast.
Touche'... I've never been up that way. Is there not much room? I may skip it this time around and just go with spinning setup...
If you try I'd bring waders and see if you can finds places to get in the water which may help. Bring both spinning and fly and see what you can find
When u sent me the message earlier I assumed you would be wading. If you want to fly fish you are going to have to get in the water.
You could try a small spoon.
if you can get on the water, I have seen people fly fish with a success down neacr the mouth of the flat.
I'm not sure about how and where yet. I don't mind wading at all, I like it. Seeing as this is my first trip to that area, I guess I'll stick to spinning gear and scope it out. Maybe bring the fly rod next time.
When the white bass are biting, it won't matter what you throw at them.
