THURSDAY 3/17 LAKE OCONEE REPORT
Today I had the pleasure of taking some friends fishing on lake Oconee. Kendall and Randy fished out of their boat and Kyle fished with me. We started around 8:00 and fished until noon. The fish were hungry and we managed to catch 30 fish. I went back after lunch and fished from 1-5. The afternoon bite was slow and I caught 8 more good fish. My "clients" enjoyed their trip. It was good to see Ronald Hearn (Quackhead 90) and to meet (greenranger) on the water. Many thanks to Doug Nelms for helping an old man trailer his boat at the ramp. The picture is of Kendall Rhine and Kyle Harrison holding a couple of nice slabs.
Conditions: Beautiful day light wind water temperature 66-72 degrees.
Depth of water 8-11 feet
Pulled jigs with 1/16 oz jig head
Trolling speed 1-1.2 mph
Colors: The usual. Nothing stood caught fish on popsicle, acid rain, bubble gum, blue/silver curly tail, black/blue/chart and blue/gray/chart.
