Bayou Black

Made a bass fishing trip to Bayou Black with my neighbor and caught 6 sac au lait and about 20 goggle eye along with a bunch of bass on spinnerbaits. We fished the dead end canals off the main pipeline in the Turtle Bayou area and the water is beautiful all over that area. I think I could have had a great sac au lait day if I had brought the right stuff. The fish were on flats that had sharp drops into the canals and were on the lee side of canals perpendicular to the strong wind. The sac au lait were closer to the points and the goggle eye were all along the banks. Info for those looking for a good place with all of the bad water in our area.

Thanks for the report Cajun Pop. We were heading out this morning but our AC went out and I'm waiting on the repairman to call me this morning. Depending on what he says we may still make a trip later today. Rain in the forecast for the next couple of days but might take a chance once the AC is fixed or waiting on parts.
