Has anyone been fishing Hugh Gillis lately? I am thinking about heading over there sometime this weekend and was wondering what colors work best and maybe what part of the lake to try?

I have not been there recently, but we have had a lot of luck pitching 1/16 oz chartreuse heads and 1 1/4 inch junebug/chartreuse Slider type bodies on the far side from the rocky point all the way around the point near the dam and about halfway to the back end. Popsicle/chartreuse curly tails are good sometimes.
Pitch them almost to the bank on 4 or 6# line and reel them back just fast enough to stay in contact with the bottom.
I have caught bluegills, shellcackers, fliers, crappie, bass and catfish on them over the years.
