Took just over an hour to get these this afternoon on the Big Niangua. Pattern still the same, boat in 12-15 casting to and parallel with the bank. Mix of males and females. Water temp near 61. Should be interesting next weekend with the cooler weather coming in.

61 water temp, sounds pretty high. Truman was about 54 on Sunday. How did the egg sacs look? They need to hold off a few weeks before they move shallow but like you said, the cooler temps should do some crazy stuff.

The egg sacs were pretty bloody. With the males and females together and with the water this warm I think this might one of the first runs. Who knows, the more I fish the less I think I know about what these fish are doing. Colder weather coming at the end of this week, I saw some mornings in the 30's so this should hold them back a bit. I see quite a few posts of other folks catching them in deeper water so we should have several good weeks to come.
