Got a Mess
Hit up Binder Lake this morning for large mouths. Got a 5lb 8oz female with a pot belly on the dam early. Caught her on a Gambler Swim Jig, blue gill color and a Zoom Swimming Fluke Jr. trailer. Caught a bunch more small bass on a BPS "The Egg" wake bait. The males were as shallow as you could throw on the Rainbow Dr side. I was pitching into my honey hole tree and this guy next to me was catching some crappie so I tied on the blue ice. Messed around and caught 22, the other guy said he banged out 29. The tree line I was fishing can be really good when the water is in the mid 50's. Great day...was liking the fog.

Love the small water crappie and 30 fish limits! I fished Binder a couple times for bass. Nice bunch of slabs there!
I hit a conservation area lake on Sunday in NW MO north of St. Joe and ended up with 12 decent ones from 10-12 inches-but they were VERY scattered! Only 3 smalls and the rest nice sized keepers.
