Look in my tackle box please

Im planning on taking my daughter and her friend to LOZ friday this week. And I want to try to make sure they have the right tackle to catch some crappie. She is in from college on spring break and I just dont want to waste her time ....so please help me help her catch her limit. Im thinking about doing some trolling early then trying to find some shallow type bite. I want to put in at Fort wood Rec and fish around McCubbins point area. Tell me whatt might help me show her a fun time fishing with her pops! Thanks Greg

Natural colors are always best for me in that area. Do not know how you fish so the question is unpredictable. But I think you may want to look at maps and find a cove that a creek feeds into the lake and natural colors under a bobber in 2-5ft. of water. Throw the bobber out snap snap snap let sit reel a little and when the bobber goes gone set the hook. Hope this helps.

chartreuse chroma glow. Set a few out beside you to dry in the air and sun just a little while you fish.When they are like real stiff dough they are just right. They should impale on the hook without feeling mushy.And hang on for a lot of cast, sometimes multiple fish. Too hard no good....too soft no good. The fish are pre-spawn feeding on shad ,you have to find where that action is going on..

Nibbles can sometimes be a game changer and for the little effort it takes its worth it. Whites and chart are the easy go to baits. Use 1/16 or 1/8 heads at the most for the girls?? Rig them with 2 jigs about 10 inches apart. Usually the crappie tend to hit just a bit harder with 2 jigs. It should help them if the bite is light. Good luck!
