Lowrance Units Sonar Recording and playback

Thanks to everyones help and inputs, I was able to get my Lowrance units installed, got the new v5.0 update done to both of them this morning as well as networked and a Navionics Hotmap card with mapsharing going on both units. Now my next question, I have a blank SD card installed on one of the units to record sonar logs such as structure scan (side scan, down imaging, and sonar logs). I am having a difficult time figuring out how to do this so I can go back and be able to review all channels from recording and pin point structure or something I may have missed while on the water. Is this something that can be done from my Macbook pro? Or can I only view logs by using the units themselves? I am running two HDS 7 touch gen 2's. Any input is appreciated! Thank you!

Go to the Insight Genesis website and set up a free account. From there you can upload you sonar log to the account. In a couple of hours, you will receive an email saying your log is ready to view. They have a sonar viewer that will show you everything you logged. It's a little tricky at first to do all of this. but in time you should get used to it. I do it on a PC, not a Mac, so I can't help you there. After you view it, you can generate your own map of what you logged , download it back to your SD card , put it into your Lowrance unit and use it. It's pretty cool.

Big thumbs up to what dapet just said! Insight genesis is awesome and I've just started using it, I'm still learning but u should pick it up quick.....
In the insight genesis program online you can look at the map it made of your sonar log and see the replay of either your 2d sonar or down image....... You can also mark waypoints but I've not figured it out yet, you can't mark on the sonar log just on the map so that doesn't seem very accurate and I'm not sure how to get those waypoints to your map ( someone set me straight if I'm wrong)
They say there is a sonar viewer u can download from web but I can't find one that'll play my logs, wrong file type
