On Bear Island , Maurepas, the water seems to be holding steady for now . We've been busy watching the weather and wind , trying to make the best of the situation .... Crawfish are out and about so we've been after them with dip nets and cages ! Here are a few pics ...Attachment 231859

I saw you guys were having a rough time and am very glad you making the best of it. I am on the West bank in St james parish we got off easy compared to you east bankers. Its still raining but at a slow rate. So far we are safe but soggy. I am on a hill slight that it may be but really heavy inch an hour stuff it can back up fast but we are ok. aint gonna hafta water the garden boxes any time soon dats for sure.

Yes sir we've been lucky so far , all it will take is for the winds to change and we won't be so lucky . There's a lot of people around here that are having a rough time . And yeah we just planted some raised beds last week , they're really soggy but still looking healthy for now .

Well we made it through the rain and had a beautiful sunset so I been cooking and piddling in the kitchen with the juke box going and having a few beers as I cooked Peg was a doin house work and when a good song came up she would join me in the kitchen dancin bare foot with a beer in one hand and the other on her.........
