Weather for Trip
Hey all,
I am supposed to spend spring break (3/13 - 3/19) fishing Nimrod, DeGray, Greeson, and Ouachita. But I keep hearing about all this rain y'all are getting.
What's the conditions on the lakes? If they aren't good and the fishing is slowing due to the rain I think I'll hold off on the ten hour trip down there.
Just hoping for some insight.

Getting a TON of rain, Thats for sure, I know Degray and Ouachita should be ok as far as clarity except for the rivers but they will be HIGH and rising during your stay. Good news is I am SURE this warm rain/weather has warmed the water temps to the point that a LOT of fish should be shallow with some spawning taking place. Enjoy your stay and good luck!

It's pretty wet, and you know fish don't eat when they are this wet:biggrin Fish will be up in the fresh covered edges feeding on night crawlers, bugs and other critters. Come on down.

I heard today the Greeson is high, muddy, and covered with debris right now. Unsure how long it will take the crappie to settle into the new water depths. GTT
