Identify this jig?
Anyone have a clue what this is? A man gave me this and it was in a plastic package with a staple, so, I guess it is commercially available. I had fished with shiners with no luck today and he was killing them on this jig and said this was his 'secret.' It's lighter than what I am accustomed to. Not tiny but I don't think it is 1/8oz. I figure 1/16oz to 3/32oz. It is black on top and pink under and it has a piece of gold mylar or whatever you call that shiny strip. From end of jig to end of hook is less than one inch. I tend to favor light colors, hmmm. But I am no crappie expert.

looks like a hand tie to me ...there are a lot of folks that tie good jigs out there ....

It's just a hand tied jig that a local fishing store or gas station would sell (that someone has tied)... They are stapled to a cardboard card and you just pull a jig off... That jig looks to be tied with bucktail and a strand of gold flash. Post this in the jig tying forum and someone will fix you up!

What VA said. If you can't find what you want go to the Jig Tying forum and post a pic, I'll bet someone will step up and fix you up. Might even teach you to do your own.
