Strange mutant fruit

our beloved Satsuma tree put forth some misshapen mutant fruit late this year here is the story of the strange fruit.
Cappy & Pegody's World: ...And Now THIS!

Cappy a few years back someone right around the corner from us were selling them by the sack full for 5 dollars, a 30 pound sack. I asked him why so cheap and he told me he worked for a commercial satsuma grower and those large loose skinned ones wouldn't sell. The owner made them break them off the trees and throw them on the ground. He asked if he could have some and he was told to take all he wanted. He filled up his truck and made quite a few dollars selling them out of his front yard. They were very good, juicy, and sweet. I sure enjoyed the ones I bought.

It ws the first I seen of them Gene but Peg saw a rack full at whole foods she said they called them sumos I thought that was cute as in sumo wrestlers being big and bottom heavy. Clever marketing for mutant fruit. These as ya saw in the video are really good.

Thanks fellow shiner lover, tehy are very sweet and tasty I just had one while playing in the yard. I guess its not too uncommin since they selling them but its new to me.
