Advice for Trip to the big"O" next week

Guys/Gals, this is my first post to Crappie.com. I think this forum has an incredible amount of knowledge to offer a mediocre crappie fisherman such as myself. Thanks for sharing......:biggrin

I am leaving North Carolina on Friday night and heading to Okeechobee to stay all next week (in Buckhead Ridge). I was hoping a few of you would give me some pointers on where and how I should be fishing. I have never been to Florida for a fishing trip so any help is appreciated.

Just fished a tournament there and we were fishing Government cut ramp. I would fish the bushes and cattails with cane pole and jig around that stuff as well. Good luck.

After coming out of the lock there in buckhead ridge that canal all the way into the lake should be good. Where that canal enters the lake would be your best bet back to the east
