Spider rigging

Relatively new to spider rigging for crappie. Would appreciate any recommendation on portable rodholders to install on my bass boat. So that they might be removed for bass fishing. A base that secures unobtrusively, to the rear and front platforms, but your able to remove the the group of rod holders. Appreciate your recommendations on a particular make based on experience, but please refrain from making negative comments about a specific brand. Send a pm.

I think all of the rod holders have removable uprights and the base piece is usually pretty flat. Check in the "member/sponsor forum" because some of our members make good products

Check out the SpiderLock holders. They have a flat base plate attached to the floor. Never know they are there.

Yes.

"Vic n" is correct ... most T-bar style rod holders screw into a low profile base plate. You've got plenty of choices on brand & style, and price ranges. You can also pick up a used set on the Personal Classifieds forum, every now & again.

I use the Hi-tek Elite 4rod holder systems on my 16' ProCraft, and like them just fine.
