Walmart has 2 stock numbers for each size battery. One stock # has 1 year warranty (Ever Start) and the other has 2 year warranty (Ever Start Maxx). Same battery just different warranty.
BTW, many people don't realize it, but there is only 3 battery manufacturers. Exide, Johnson Controls, and Delphi. Johnson Controls makes the majority of them and all the name brands. They put different labels on them at the plant for different brands. For example, one day they run Walmart batteries in black case, the next they run Sears or Interstate in a different case. I used to do contract work in a battery plant - don't let any body blow smoke at you that one brand is better than the other, they're all the same!!!! Shop for best price/warranty!
Nice to know I didn't realize that. I seen on you tube were they put Epsom salt in old batteries to revive them ,I am assuming that's b.s. right?
There is also East Penn/Deka Trojan and Odyssey
Delphi sold their battery business to Johnson Controls 10 years ago. Exide, Deka, Trojan, JCI, Enersys, Northstar and several others make batteries in the US. Most of the others are fairly small. There has been a lot of consolidation in the last 20 years leading to many fewer manufacturers.
And Walmart Deep Cycle Marine batteries now have NO warranty
