US2 transducer repair

Yea, after trying a dozen different things I still was getting a washed out weak screen display. I had reconciled to the fact that I was going to mount the TD that came with the unit on the trolling motor. To get a workable fix I would have to take the head off the TM shaft to pull the shaft out so I could run through td cable in the slot on the I pilot shaft.
After I got the cover off, I went to unscrew the U.S. 2 cable in the head and when I started to unscrew the joint so I could unplug the cable. The coupling came apart in my hand. Whoever assembled the motor did not seat the connection and tighten it down. I put it back like it should be and today it worked perfect. Sure am glad I caught this before I by passed the built. In transducer.

I thought this was a cool shot of my jig working over a brush pile I put in. Only problem is no fish on it.
