Helix 7 si unit help
I just purchased the Helix 7 si unit first I think I have the transducer to low under hull because I'm getting a rooster tail running the lake so I'm gonna move it up a little more. Even though I went on measurement from instructions, but my problem is when running the lake the unit keeps losing power connection for some reason only when running the out board I trolled for several hours an had no problem besides figuring out how to operate it any help on where to start of what the problem maybe will help thanks in advance

probably not loosing power, but loosing transducer signal. Mine is doing the same thing. try adjusting the angle of transducer. hope this helps, i haven't adjusted mine yet

Are you losing power or sonar returns at speed like bassing_53 mentions ...??
Intermittent power loss at speed indicates here is a bad connection in the power circuit somewhere ...
Check all connections ...including the fuse and fuse holder ...
-----
There should have been a square rubber plug in your box that is inserted in the XNT gap between the plastic mount and the xducer housing ...
This rubber plug is to help with rooster tail ...

Yea I have the rubber plug in it loses power completely at speed I'm gonna raise the transducer up some an check the fuse connection I've also been told to straight wire it an put an online fuse on it

Shrug, get you one of the rubber fuse connectors for blade type fuses that has the little rubber cap to seal it. Wire it straight to your cranking battery. Then solder and heat shrink your power wire to it. Seperate wires to your finder makes sure you have enough voltage and current to the unit and less chance of picking up interference.
ATC and ATO Waterproof Fuse Holders - Inline
Some auto parts places carry these.
