Harris 2/28 - FINALLY
Made it to Harris around 2:30 today. Started out fishing a pretty promising area but the wind kept pounding us. No fish and got tired of the beating. Moved to a cove and marked a ton of fish in 35-40'. Ended up catching 37 by 6pm and took off. The girls were loaded with eggs. Love the new Helix 10 SI. On our way out of the cove we marked one area with about 30 huge arcs. Not sure what kind of fish were there but I will be back to find out. Forgot to put the SD card in or else I would've taken a screenshot of everything that was going on. All caught on jigs with minnows.

Congrat's on a good day and fishing the fish. Staging at the mouths of coves is the place right now. Looking forward to seeing screenshots from the Helix.

How big we're your fish?
I hope to go tomorrow and try my lucky skills.
May God bless!
By the way sounds like you had a great day....
I need some crappie in the freezer for eating my wife and I love them.

Thanks guys.
I'm still learning 1/10th of what the finder has to offer. At least when I come off Jordan at night I'll have navigation. Last year when I came off Jordan from the 64 bridge the only navigation I had was a park ranger who drove out on the point from Ebenezer. As soon as I saw the lights I opened the boat up because I knew I had a small window before he left. Not anymore.
We caught a dozen or so males about 8" and the rest were females with the largest being around 14". All were released for another day. Like Jordanlimit stated, look for coves. I saw a lot of people still fishing the main channel but I didn't see much action going on and the guys I talked to at the dock had terrible luck. If it were not for the wind I probably wouldn't have ended up in that cove. Pretty cool how that works sometimes.
My daughter landed a 3 pound large mouth and that made her day. Caught it on a mango slider.
